NURSERY Admissions
There are 26 children in the Nursery at any one time.
All children are offered 15 hours of Government funded childcare.
Working parents are eligible to apply for an additional 15 hours on top of the universal 15 hours funded childcare. This is subject to specific criteria laid down by the HMRC.
Working parents who are not eligible for 15 hours on top of the universal 15 hours funded childcare can purchase additional childcare provision where available. This also includes Breakfast School Care and After School Care provision. Breakfast School Care hours are from 7:30am Monday to Friday. After School Care hours are until 5:45pm Monday to Friday.
Nursery provision at John Burns Primary School is made up of full time and part time places. Part time places are 15 hours per week.

Nursery Admission Arrangements for the Academic Year 2020/2021
We follow the criteria as set out in the London Borough of Wandsworth booklet “Starting School in Wandsworth”. As stipulated by Wandsworth, there is no automatic transfer from Nursery to Reception. A new application must be made for children applying for admission to Reception for September 2021.

Admission to Nursery - The Application Process
Parents are advised, in the first instance, to contact the school office on 020 7228 3857 to check the availability of Nursery spaces.
Parents are also welcome to book a tour of the school before applying for a Nursery place.
Parents wishing to apply for a Nursery space should download or collect a printed Application Form for Admission to Nursery.
